A time to fall

Well, that's it. Pack it in. Warm up the bus.

I saw a turned leaf today on a skylight at work. It was bright red.

All the other green leaves on the trees waved back and forth in the breeze, and I heard a light chant of "Na na na na, Na na na na, Hey hey hey, gooooodbye." Maybe it was just my 'magination.

I love summer, but I'm glad that autumn is on its way. I really do love the change of seasons.

Leaves are like sentinels, growing stronger in the Spring, like a young soldier coming of age; ever present and watchful during the Summer, occasionally saluting as you pass in the wind; growing older in the Fall, changing colors, showing their different badges of honor over the passing year; and finally fading and bowing out in the Winter to make way for their naive yet virile replacements that they know must come.
